Taxis
The easiest means of transport between the main cities. Most cabs working in the main cities are equipped with taximeters showing the required fare.
Normal taxis (black and white colors) you should agree with driver about the fare.
City Cabs (Yellow color) are equipped with taximeters showing the required fare in Egyptian Pounds.
Vehicles
Tourists can bring along with them their vehicles or motorcycles which provide easy access for touring the country. The main roads connecting the main cities have been well paved and maintained. Along the roads are gas stations and rest areas.
It is advisable to hire an air conditioned vehicle with driver from your travel agency for your trips, transfers and excursions inside Egypt, as roads are not well equipped with signs in English Language. In addition, you might loose your way and waste a lot of time.

Egypt Air operates all domestic and internal domestic scheduled flights inside Egypt. No other airlines is operating domestic flights.
Daily flights several times per day to and from Cairo for all Egypt major tourist destinations such as Luxor, Aswan, Abu-Simbel, Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh. Also, some weekly flights to Marsa alam, Alexandria, Marsa Matrouh.
